Multiphoton Optics is now part of the project board of the BMWi-funded HoloScope project. The project involves the fabrication of a needle-shaped lensless holographic endoscope for 3D imaging. Compared to conventional 2D imaging endoscopes, the optical phase is included in addition to the intensity distribution, allowing imaging in three dimensions. Furthermore, a fiber diameter of < 300 µm is targeted, making the endoscope suitable for minimally invasive procedures.
Multiphoton Optics’ support is in the fabrication of 3D printed optics on the facet of the multicore fiber to manipulate the optical phase.
